New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

So, I started a new project today on black 16 count aida and I can't see to follow the grid! I had 18 ct linen and knew that would be impossible, so went with the other and I still have a problem. Any tips for using black cloth? I may go to 14 ct and see if that helps.
This small but very large update corrects a manual color choosing bug.
Previously, when you chose "I will select my colors" in section 5, the program sometimes inserted black colors into the pattern instead of the proper one(s).
It happened with Miyuki bead colors, a couple DMC floss colors, a few Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn colors, and a couple Madeira floss colors.
This new version corrects the problem.
I have been working on this for quite a while, but I really love this pattern and it is exciting to stitch. There are a lot of blends, which produce a very clean and smooth transition. My stitching on the hat is very lumpy, probably because this was one of my first projects. The finished design will be an Owl in a potion bottle with steam coming out of the top. The steam is all half cross stitching outlined in backstitching, but I find the half cross stitches hard to count, especially the ones in white. It is hard to see, but I have already started the white half cross stitches to the left. There will be more in other colors, which I hope will be easier to count. I started this on Halloween 2019, but I have not made a lot of progress for six moths as I tend to work on multiple projects at a time, a bad habit that I need to stop doing! I bought it from MilanaLoveStitch on Etsy. Anyway, this is a Work In Progress that I am very proud of, so I would like to show here.
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement during the long journey with this project. It is no longer a work in progress. It is finished, framed and is hanging on the wall.
